Exustar Pro Carbon Fiber Sidewall Sole Technology

Exustar Pro is a new high-end line of cycle products from Exustar. Carbon Fiber Sidewall Sole Technology will be available in Exustar Pro shoes in 2008.

Exustar Backgrounder

Exustar began life in 1993 as Exus, a special unit inside pedal maker VP Components. Initially Exus concentrated on high-end pedals and cycle maintenance products. But engineers at Exus were soon convinced that competitive cyclists were better served by a fully integrated clipless pedaling system. So in 1995, Exus began producing cycling shoes as well as clipless pedals.

 

After several years, it was decided by mutual agreement that Exus would best fulfil its potential independently of VP, and a buyout by Exus management was arranged in 2002. All key staff were in place when the business was relaunched and rebadged as Exustar the same year.

 

Since that time, the company has experienced exponential progress in product development and steady business growth. "We have really found our pace in the last four years. Our focus is clearer now, and as a team our energy is concentrated more than ever on our goal to be a world class operation," said company general manager Calvin Hsieh.

 

In 2004 the company began offering carbon fiber products, and in 2006, decided to apply more than a decade's worth of shoe tech experience to the motorcycle industry. The result: a classy line of motorcycle boots.

 

Exustar won top honors (pedal category) at the 2007 Innobike competition. The company also offers a range of clothing and accessories. Exustar is based in Taichung City, Taiwan.
