Taichung, Taiwan – Feb. 12 2007 – Exustar has won top honors at the 2007 Innobike competition. In February the annual TBEA (Taiwan Bicycle Exporters Association) design competition awarded first prize to Exustar in the pedal category for its innovative one-piece binding for clipless pedals. The pedal binding, compatible with SPD-style cleats, allows simpler manufacture, fewer parts, and increases tolerances, therefore improving performance.

    According to general manager Calvin Hsieh, the win is indicative of the company's progress in product design.

    "It is very satisfying to finally win the award this year after coming second in the competition in both 2005 and 2006. I am very proud of our R&D team."

    Exustar currently uses the binding system on road and MTB pedals. It can also be utilized on trekking and spinning pedals.
