93 GRAM ROAD PEDAL FROM EXUSTAR
Taichung, Taiwan – Aug. 15 2007 – Exustar has launched one of the lightest road pedals on the market. At only 93 grams, the Ti axle-equipped, carbon fiber bodied E-PR100CKTi has been developed to meet the demands of professional competition.
Using new carbon fiber technology and a minimalist design, the company was able to reduce the weight of the pedal body considerably. The pedal is constructed around Exustar's proven CNC-machined titanium cartridge axle with LSL bushing and sealed bearings.
Exustar general manager Calvin Hsieh said the pedal is the culmination of the company's 14 years of pedal experience. "Our pedals have progressively got lighter and lighter. But light weight is not enough; you must have strength, function and form. We are always experimenting with new materials and technologies to achieve this."
For riders especially sensitive to weight, Exustar also offers an upgrade to carbon fiber cleats and titanium cleat hardware.
